Lady Fantasia, a first-crop daughter of Decorated Knight, landed a deserved victory at Chantilly on Friday, making all for an authoritative success.

The filly wasn’t winning out of turn, having run second on each of her previous two starts in France for trainer Hans Blume. She was also placed in Britain for Roger Varian.

“She is a very reliable filly,” jockey Anthony Crastus told Equidia. “I went ahead on her and waited as long as to ask her, and she fended off the attacks. She is a filly with heart.”

Bred by Blue Diamond Stud, Lady Fantasia is out of Group 3 winner Lady Wingshot, whose four wins included the Fairy Bridge Stakes, and a half-sister to the winning fillies I Am Magical and Expecting To Fly.

With the potential of further improvement to come, she is the latest bright prospect for Decorated Knight; others include dual winner Wind Your Neck In (Timeform rated 96p), Knight Of Honour (TR 89P), who was placed on debut for John and Thady Gosden, Zain Nights (84p), the winner of a hot Newbury novice, Silver Bullet Lady (82p), the impressive winner of her debut at Salisbury, and Damaar (79+), who was successful on debut at Sandown.

Decorated Knight, a multiple Group 1-winning Galileo relation to Giant’s Causeway, stands for €7,500 at the Irish National Stud.
