A pair of exceptional colts by Decorated Knight have been catalogued to Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale.

The first to sell is Lot 372, the colt out of the top-class two-year-old Princess Noor from Jamie Railton.

Purchased by Tony Nerses as a yearling, Princess Noor was trained by Roger Varian to win the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot, in which she made all the running, and run second in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes.

The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor, who is from the family of top sprinters Dream Ahead and Fairyland, is represented at Blue Diamond Stud by her two-year-old Sea The Stars daughter Princess Nadia in training with John Gosden.

The Decorated Knight – Princess Noor colt capped an excellent season at last year’s foal sales for his sire by selling for 190,000gns.

New England Stud will offer the colt out of our Group 3 winner Shaden as Lot 432.

Another purchased by Tony Nerses as a yearling, Shaden was trained by Lady Jane Cecil to win the Group 3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes at Ayr. The daughter of Kodiac is out of another fast two-year-old in Lady Avenger and from the further family of top miler Lahib.

Decorated Knight’s first foals were extremely well received last year, selling for up to 190,000gns. The colt in question is out of Group 3 winner Princess Noor and was bought by Jamie Railton at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale.

Decorated Knight’s foals also sold for up to €66,000 at the Goffs November Sale.

Decorated Knight won eight races including the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes, Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup and Group 1 Jebel Hatta.

By Galileo, he is out of Pearling, a sister to champion sires Giant’s Causeway and Freud. He stands at the Irish National Stud.
