£50,000 colt for Decorated Knight
23 September 2021
Momentum behind the second crop of Decorated Knight continued at the Tattersalls Ireland September Sale in Newmarket on Wednesday with the sale of a colt by the stallion for £50,000.
Offered by Castletown Quarry Stud, the colt was purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle.
Bred by Emir Alkas, he is a half-brother to five winners from as many runners, including the Listed-placed Castle Of May, and out of Seschat, a placed Sinndar half-sister to Listed winner Sereth from the further family of top miler Al Wukair.
It has been an excellent few days for Decorated Knight following the sparkling debut victory of Damaar at Sandown Park for John Gosden. Other exciting 2yos by the sire include Silver Bullet Lady, who won a hot conditions race at Salisbury on debut for Roger Charlton, and Knight Rider, a winner for Kevin Philippart de Foy.
Three-time Group 1 winner Decorated Knight stands at the Irish National Stud.
